Italian cycling crew Vini Zabu has been suspended for a time of 30 days after two of their riders tried positive for prohibited substances in a year duration, world cycling body UCI said on Monday.
Italian rider Matteo Spreafico bombed two tests for the prohibited steroid ostarine during a year ago's Giro d'Italia in October, while Matteo De Bonis tried positive for the restricted blood-sponsor erythropoietin (EPO) a month ago.
The suspension is originated on April 7 and will be persuading until May 6.
"The UCI Anti-Doping Rules oblige the suspension of a get-together when two of its riders get notice of an Adverse Analytical Finding for a non-showed substance in models amassed during a similar year period of time," the UCI said in an explanation.
The positive tests incited the social affair pulling out from the following month's Giro with the remarkable case territory going to Italian cycling outfit Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec.
The current year's Giro begins in Turin on May 8 and realizations in Milan on May 30.
